Marketing Minute - Weekly Q MarketingMinute.com - Get to the heart of a
content rich continuing education valued over
$250,000 in less than 5 minutes per week…

Hey Robert,

Good question, your business cards play an important roll in your offline marketing and networking strategies.

Posted from Marketing Minute eGram Week #1:

How do I create business cards with an irresistible offer and an ethical bribe? Must I purchase Desktop publishing program and create my own template or have you folks created a handy template online yet?

If you do want to create an “Irresistible Offer”, my advice would be to put all your main particulars on the front of your business card with an icon or indicator in the lower left or right corner that says “Turn Me Over“.

Then on the backside of your card, simply make them the same offer that you give away on your Shy-Yes page. For example, with MarketingMinute.com we give away Alex Mandossian’s Action Secrets - 7 part mini-course along with the complete transcripts.

So in our case I would say “Claim your free copy of Action Secrets and learn 7 time tested techniques to get more done faster, better and with less human effort“.

Then you can simply put the web site address in large bold lettering below it to direct people to your Shy-Yes offer.

Hope this helps,
Segovia Smith

Webinars VS. Webcasting VS. Teleseminars?

Thursday, May 31st, 2007

Webinar VS WebcastSegovia here with a quick update and a few tips on the latest in web technologies.

You’ve no doubt either heard about or attended either a Webinar or Webcast, but can you explain what the difference between the two is?

Simply put…

A Webinar is something you can logon via your web browser or special client side software application and actually view either a Power Point presentation, and HTML Slide Show or even someone else’s computer screen so you can watch over their shoulder as they work.

On the other hand, a Webcast is where you can either dial into a direct phone or listen online via a live streaming web technology (usually done with Flash Media, Window Media or RealPlayer).

Both are very effective and have their purpose in many different instances.

And finally you have your good old fashion Teleseminar (yah right, that’s old fashion only in Internet years ;-) , either way Teleseminar Marketing is more powerful and more reliable than both.

QUICK ANNOUNCEMENT!

1) I wanted to make sure you are aware of our “Daily Call Calendarwhere we list upcoming Webinars, Webcasts, and Teleseminars all in one convenient location for you to browse and select the topics relevant to your learning curve.

2) Here are two events taking place TODAY that you don’t want to miss and better yet, you don’t have to wait for:

“I’m so hungry, I’m starving to death…”

Monday, May 28th, 2007

I'm Hungry, Please Help!First off, I needed to get your attention with a shocking headline, so if you are reading this then it worked.

Second, I hope you are enjoying the last few hours of your memorial day weekend…

Now to the importance of my SUBJECT LINE:

Have you ever gone a day without food?

How about a week?

…or even a Month?

I can barely imagine how miserable it would be have these feelings of REAL HUNGER that just never go away!

The sad part is, unfortunately, millions of children experience this exact pain, right now and every day.

Many of who go to sleep at night and never wake up….

But YOU can help us change this, TODAY!

An associate of mine, Stephen Pierce, has just launched an amazing fundraiser…

* His goal is to feed over
* 1,000,000 million children
* Within 72 HOURS from now!
* And I want to help him do it.

So, let’s ban together and spread the word to help feed over 1,000,000 children that need our help.

Here’s what I need you to do:

1. Visit this site: http://ForAGreaterCause.org

2. Download the Stephen’s “Success Report”, which will by itself donate a plate of food on your behalf — even if you don’t have a penny of your own money to give.

3. (*Optional*) Donate any amount that you can afford, without sacrificing the well being of yourself or your own family. Remember that every dollar helps.

* You get a TON of ebooks, audios, videos, and special reports when you donate.

4. Spread the word! Email your ezine lists, post about this on your blog, and feed children that need our help!

A HUGE “Thank You” in advance for any help you can offer this amazing cause.

To World Health,
Segovia Smith

PS. I just received an email from Stephen’s incredible wife Alicia who’s in charge of this project and she said they are only $9,500 short of meeting their goal with only 7 hours left.

Karmic Marketing & The Laws of Reciprocity

Monday, May 14th, 2007

Karma PoliceI want to discuss something that is rarely covered in traditional Internet Marketing. This is a law and a principle called, “Karmic Marketing” also referred to as the “Law of Reciprocity.

First, what exactly is reciprocity?

A simple explanation would be, you do something nice for somebody, and in return, they feel almost obligated to do something nice for you. It doesn’t have to be stated. It doesn’t have to be in writing or even mentioned or even outwardly discussed. It’s just one of those universal laws, just like gravity.

You may beg to differ on how the “Law of Reciprocity” in theory and concept woks in marketing, but try Karmic Marketing and I’m willing to bet money that it’ll work for your business too.

So how do we use Karmic Marketing?

I find through consistent communication and email with your list, you want to sprinkle in a little karmic marketing dust now and then to keep people guessing… (more…)

Narrowing Your Keyword Research

Wednesday, May 9th, 2007

Marketing Minute - Weekly Q MarketingMinute.com - Get to the heart of a
content rich continuing education valued over
$250,000 in less than 5 minutes per week…

Hey Lawton,

Thanks for the question…

Posted from Marketing Minute eGram Week #2:

When doing keyword research, how narrow do the search numbers need to be? When is there too much competition based on the number of people who searched?

I would assume you’re either searching for a niche space to break into, or you already have a site and just building your keyword list.

The total search volume is only one of a few factors to consider, you also want to check out a few other numbers to help guide your marketing efforts.

  • STEP 1: Go to SearchForMyKeywords.com and find out how many estimated visitors your targeted phrases will get per month. Keep in mind this is based on the Overture database which is only about 10% of the web’s total traffic. So if it’s estimating that search phrase would receive 193 visitors per month, you could multiply it by x10 to get a more accurate representation of total Net wide search volume (1,930).
  • STEP 2: Next you want to do a search for the keyword phrase on Google and look for the total number of returned results, this will be shown in the top right hand corner like “Results 1 of 100 of about 1,326,788 for keywords…”. This will tell you a broad range of how many pages are indexed with a similar keyword DNA.
  • STEP 3: Finally, you want to do the same keyword search in Google, but this time put quotes around your keyword phrase (E.g. “free keyword search tool”). This will tell you more likely how many competing pages are in the index. The result will usually range between 0 to 50,000. You want to find keyword phrases that tend to be in the lower range (under 5,000 is a good place to start).

This should help you in the right direction, if you are looking for a good free keyword research tools you can find one at GoodKeywords.com, but if you are tired of spending hours or even days trying to find the best keywords… and if you are serious about your Adwords, PPC or SEO then you truly need to invest in Brad Callen’s Keyword Elite software.

Make it a Great Day!

Web Visitor Eyeball Tracking Software

Sunday, May 6th, 2007

Visitor Eye Tracking SoftwareIt’s incredible how the physiology of web traffic conversion is getting more and more sophisticated every year.

I just watched this super exciting video that explains how you can actually track the eyeball movements of your visitors on your web site.

Why would anyone want to do such a thing?

Simple, if you know where their eyes gravitate to first, you can work on better optimizing those positions on your page, which will ultimately help you keep the visitor on your site longer and encourage them to click on something, leading to either an opt-in or better yet a sale.

This video, also went on to explain how you can track your visitors buying behaviours by time line to see how long it takes them to purchase from you.

It’s amazing when you see that some of your visitors don’t make a purchase until 3-9 months after they first visited you (let’s say from your Google Adwords campaign).

Finally, it went on to further outline how in many cases without even knowing it, even experienced Adwords professionals don’t know what they’re talking about.

They exposed a few Adwords techniques that I wasn’t aware of and am 99.98% certain that after implementing these 2 simple strategies I just learned, I’ll more than quadruple my Adwords CTR (Click Through Rate) and give my ROI (Return on Investment) a huge boost.

So enough about what you’re about to learn and let’s get on with it…

Watch this exclusive “Eye Popping” training video now (no pun intended ;-) .

Good Sales,
Segovia Smith

Rated R for ResultsWhat I’m about to tell you is rated ‘R’…

…for Results!

Today is a very special day…

Before I get into the details I need to make a confession… I didn’t attend Armand Morin’s Big Seminar last weekend in Atlanta.I know, it’s sad but true! ;-(

I’ve been to five of the previous 6 events over the years, but I had to miss out on this one. (I’ll make my point in a moment.)

As a matter of fact I haven’t attended any live events in over 6 months. (This is rare as I’ve been on the circuit for years and averaged 1-2 events per month.)

The next thing you should know, in case you didn’t already know this about me, I have a special custom piece of software I developed a few years ago that actually allows me to listen to an MP3 or Podcast audio file at “Break-Neck Speed” (that’s about 400-500% above the normal speed in case you were wondering.)

And finally, this one trumps them all…

I’ve been feverishly spending my time on the front page of Google with a smile from ear to ear. (keep reading and it’ll all make sense)…

Okay…

Where to start…

Well, about 6 months ago, I kept getting emails with a bunch of hype about this StomperNet Club for SEO’s (Search Engine Optimizer’s). I swear I must have received at least 12 different emails from different Guru’s (most of which I call friends now ;-)

But, with every email I got, it made me more and more frustrated.

You see back in the day (I’m talking 1998), when I was working as a hired gun to put other peoples business on the Internet Map (and not my own).

I used to be great at SEO, the tricks of the trade were fairly basic, hell, you could even put the word you wanted to be ranked for on your site 100 times and viola - you’d be #1 within a few days.

Yahoo hadn’t bought out Overture.com yet (actually I think it was called GoTo.com back then), but anyway you get the idea.

Then one day things changed for me and I was working with different clients and using different strategies to make money online. My new focus became PPC (Pay-Per-Click), and I killed that one for years building up numerous million dollar web sites.

Bet you can guess what happened…

Yup~! The search engines changed their algorithms and all my SEO tricks went out the window.

For years I swore I would never do SEO again because you would have to become a mad scientist just be able to keep up with Google and the rest of the top tier engines.

Now…

Back to the Stomper Network, when I saw how much they were asking for their monthly membership I almost fell off my seat. (more…)

Redefining the “Rule of 72″

Thursday, May 3rd, 2007

Einstein Rule of 72Shhhh…

I’m not supposed to be telling you this, but let me explain…

I want to talk about a few things that most people either just won’t admit to, or at least it’s “Mums the Word” because of the somewhat uncomfortable situations.

You know how there are times when you need cash, not next month, not even next week, you need it right away… for things like:

  • A Harassing Creditor
  • An Unpaid Phone Bill
  • An Unexpected Bind
  • That Special Occasion
  • Or that new Internet training program you’ve just gotta have! ;-)

I’m talking about things you need to take care of it immediately!

I know things can happen that are totally unexpected. Hey whether anyone likes to admit it or not, it happens to everyone!

And the last thing you want to do is ask friends or family to bail you out.
